When they tried to sell me
Just for saying what’s on my mind
I did my best to fly away
I don’t know why Farquaad or his goons
Would want a donkey
Even if I can speak
I was lost for so long
Wondering if there’s a place for me
But now that I’ve found you
I can finally say I’ve made a friend
When you came and saved me
I knew I’d be right by your side
No matter what I’d never leave
I know you never show it
But I can see your heart of gold, Shrek
You know you can’t fool me
You were lost for so long
Wondering if there’s a place for you
But now that you’ve found me
You can finally say you’ve made a friend
Hey Shrek
You can make a brave face
But you can’t fool me
I know you’re hurting, babe
I know you look up at the stars
Late at night and wonder if you’re all alone
I do too, Shrek
It’s okay
I’m here now

This was not what I expected! I thought this was a pop group (first time hearing this band) but I had to eat my hat because this band defies genre. The vocalist reminds me a little of kpop (and maybe 2010 Sleigh Bells if that makes sense), I happen to like both so thought that was cool. If you are a fan of complex piano layers and brass check this out! Also, the bassist and drummer are insane in here. I choked hearing one of the riffs it was that good! nvan92
